Program Educational Outcomes (PEOs)

  1. To prepare the students to excel in pharmaceutical profession through quality and innovative teaching learning process.
  2. To develop the students academically sound professionals by acquiring scientific and technical knowledge required to undertake responsibilities in a wide range of activities related to pharmacy profession. They will be ready to access and accept new technologies and challenges.
  3. To inculcate high professional values and ethical attitude in students along with strong communication skills, multi-tasking approach and team spirit.
  4. To enhance student’s ability to analyze real life problems and provide viable solutions with design and development of socially relevant projects.
  5. To create a conducive environment for the students through strong industry academia partnership and practice of life-long learning using latest and advanced technological tools.

Program Outcomes (POs)

  1. Pharmacy Knowledge: Graduates will acquire adequate scientific and basic knowledge regarding fundamental concepts of pharmacy profession including pharmaceutical sciences i.e. Pharmaceutical chemistry including analytical and drug synthesis, Pharmaceutics including Cosmetics & Biotechnology, Pharmacognosy & Phytochemistry, Pharmacology, Anatomy & pathophysiology, Biochemistry, Food & Nutraceuticals as per the need of pharmaceutical industry and profession. Students will learn about biomedical sciences, behavioral, social, administrative pharmacy sciences and manufacturing practices and would be able to handle drugs safely and ensure the rationale use of drugs.
  2. Planning Abilities: Graduates will demonstrate effective planning abilities to implement and organize work including time management, human resource management & development, delegation skills and organizational skills.
  3. Problem analysis: Graduates will have the ability to critical analysis and problem solving skills for the provision of high quality, evidence based pharmaceutical and clinical practice.
  4. Modern tool usage: Graduates will be able to handle the modern instruments/equipments, to use the advanced techniques and use the knowledge of mathematics and computers for quality control of drugs, drug analysis and drug research.
  5. Leadership skills: Graduates will have good managerial skills and entrepreneurship abilities. They shall assume participatory roles as responsible citizens and leadership skills to facilitate improvement in health and well-being.
  6. Professional Identity: Graduates will have the ability to understand, analyze and communicate the value of their professional roles in the society (e.g. health care professionals, promoters of public health, educators, managers, employers, employees) and to uplift the value of pharmacy profession in the society.
  7. Pharmaceutical Ethics: Graduates will be aware of various regulatory, ethical and legal aspects of pharmacy profession. They should be able to understand and implement personal values and ethical values in the professional and social contexts.
  8. Communication: Graduates will demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively by oral, written and graphical manner. They should be able to comprehend and write effective reports, make effective presentations and documentation, and give and receive clear instructions.
  9. The Pharmacist and society: Graduates should have the ability to apply reasoning informed
    by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the pharmacy profession.
  10. Environment and sustainability: Graduates will be aware of key environmental issues relevant to pharmacy practice and have the understanding about the impact of the pharmaceutical solutions in a global, economical, environmental and societal contexts and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development. Students will be aware about herbal medicines overcome the side effects and harmful effects of allopathic medicines upon human beings as well as environment respectively
  11. Life-long learning: Graduates should be able to recognize the need for, and have the
    preparation and ability to engage in independent and life-long learning in the broadest context of technological change. Self-access and use feedback effectively from others to identify learning needs and to satisfy these needs on an ongoing basis.
